“Amazing New Blessing Available To Gentiles |
|
I have a message from God for the church! During the Hebrew month of Sebat, during the second year of Darius, God sent a prophetic vision to his prophet Zechariah, painting a picture of events that will occur in the last days. The vision starts with God proclaiming his displeasure with Israel because of their sin, calling for them to turn to him, so he then can turn back to them. Scripture and history tell us they did not heed this admonition or invitation at that time, but will at the end of the age. The angel sent to Zechariah asks God, “O’ Lord of Hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation for three score and ten years”. The time frame for God’s restoration of Israel is clearly during the last days before Messiahs return. . . this generation! The vision continues - “So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the Lord of Hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy. For I am sore displeased with the heathern that are at ease; for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction. Therefore thus saith the Lord; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the Lord of Hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem” (Zechariah 1:14-16) “For thus saith the Lord of Hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you; for he that toucheth you (Israel) toucheth the apple of his eye” (Zechariah 1:8) God’s message to the church is this - “God loves Israel, and the Jewish people with an undying love that will NEVER end, and he will NEVER forsake them”. (Read Jer. 31) They are the “apple of His eye”! God is not through with Israel or his people, but instead will return them to a place of glory at his second coming, when all Israel left alive will be saved. Israel is God’s timepiece ticking away the final moments on the prophetic clock until the Day of the Lord is upon us. Those are biblical facts! The church, and individual Believers today are at a crossroads, and need to make an important decision concerning Israel and the Jewish people. The end of the story has already been written, and in the end, all Israel turns back to their Messiah, Jesus, and receives their salvation in the day that He returns. God’s word also tells us that in the Last Days, there will be a great revival, and many Jews will turn to Messiah. This has already started with the messianic movement that began in the 1970’s, and continues today. The church, in obedience to the Great Commission, sends missionaries to the four corners of the world to reach the lost with the gospel. They have, and continue to do a wonderful work! Unfortunately, there is a large number of people, right in our own backyard, that almost no one evangelizes . . . the Jews. When we send missionaries to a far off lands to expound the Gospel, the very first thing they do is learn about the people that we have come to bless. What are their beliefs, their customs, their language, their terminology, their celebrations & feasts? Then, and only then, can we approach them with the Gospel from a perspective that they can understand and accept. The church needs to send missionaries to the Jews right in their own communities! The mission field starts at home, and the harvest is ripe! In order for the Gentile church to effectively evangelize the thousands of Jews right in our own communities, we also need to learn about their beliefs, customs, practices, holidays, fears, misconceptions about us, and much more. While this will require much effort and understanding on our part, the blessing to the church and to individual Believers will be amazing. It may also require change . . . in our terminology, practices and our heart! We need to be open! God made a covenant promise to Father Abraham that he would “bless those that bless thee, and curse those that curse thee”, and history has recorded the fulfillment of this promise. Every civilization and country, including our own, that blessed Israel has been blessed, and those that cursed and persecuted Israel exist no longer. The decision that we need to make as a church and as a people, is do we curse or bless Israel? The best way to bless or curse someone is to share or withhold the good news about Messiah Jesus! As we await the soon return of Messiah, I believe that the church is now ready to reach out to God’s Chosen People with the Gospel. Can you imaging a greater blessing than to see the pews of your church filled with the Children of Israel?? The words to Abraham also carry a somber warning to all who curse Israel and the Jewish people. I seriously question weather the church would have all the division and other problems it has experienced over the centuries, had they embraced and included the Jews with the Gospel blessing. God has given the church a wonderful opportunity to experience untold blessing, and reap a tremendous harvest of souls waiting right outside our doors. All we need do is heed the call of Romans 11:30-31, “For as ye (Gentiles) in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their (The Jews) unbelief, Even so, have these (the Jews) also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy”! We need to extend this mercy of salvation back to God’s own Chosen People. A word to Pastors: “Shiloh Ministries” is about helping local churches reach out to Jewish folk within their own communities, in a way that can relate to! Paul said, “when I go to the Jews, I become as a Jew”! We need to, “provoke them to jealousy” by showing them that it is the God of Israel and their own Messiah that we worship. And, we need to do it from LOVE! As part of our ministry and outreach, we would like to work with you to establish a program of Jewish Evangelism within your church. It is our desire to help your church and your congregation experience the richness of the wonderful blessing that God has in store for those that bless His people.
